We design and produce custom medical tubing systems and swabs, always in accordance with CE certification requirements (either yours or ours). We assemble and package these products using sterile methods in our Class 7 clean room. While flexibility and customer focus are important in this, quality is clearly our top priority.
ECM Europe, a Vetico company, has been active in the medical products industry since 1992. This has enabled us to accrue extensive experience and specialist knowledge. Or as we like to put it: ECM is, literally, your partner for life.

CE certification
According to MDD guidelines
(and MDR soon, too)
As a legal manufacturer, we comply with all of the MDD (Medical Device Directive) guidelines. For this reason, our products appear on the market with a CE certification, guaranteeing patient safety. We will shortly also be one of the first manufacturers to comply with the new MDR guidelines (Medical Device Regulation). This already applies to our swabs.
The CE certification gives you official CE approval as our client. This is currently under the MDD (93/42/EEG) and will shortly also be under the MDR (EU 2017/745). We can also carry out production under your own certification.

The right balance between
people and technology
Supported by the Innovation Center, we always strive to find the best balance between people and technology. On behalf of ECM too, we are constantly investigating how we can automate the production of tubes and swabs, particularly when it comes to large volumes and less complex sets. Aside from creating a more efficient process, mechanization or robotization can help to ensure even more consistent quality.
At the Innovation Center, we also contribute to discussions about the choice of materials and product designs.
