A journey without end
Sustainability is a core component of Vetico’s company strategy. We are building a future-proof enterprise that prioritizes people and the environment. Instead of thinking year to year, we are planning for the generations to come.
Major changes are not something you can accomplish alone. For that reason, we seek to have an impact in two ways: within our own operations, and by helping our clients. Our sustainability journey started a long time ago, and won’t be ending just yet. That’s because we believe it’s the right thing to do, and we know that we can.
Three pillars
For many years, we’ve invested in responsible production, sustainable packaging and good employment practices. Proof of this includes our SMETA audits, EcoVadis assessments, and collaborations with suppliers in the field of sustainable design.
In 2024, we standardized this by using a stakeholder analysis and a double materiality assessment (DMA) to determine the truly important themes. This process provided us with a clear direction. Our sustainability strategy focuses on the following three pillars:
- Sustainable production: we deal efficiently with energy, raw materials and waste streams.
- Sustainable packaging: we design smart solutions that that require less material and emit less CO2.
- People first: we invest in health, safety and job satisfaction.

Creating the future together
Two tracks, one goal
Based upon this strategy, we are following two tracks with a single goal. Internally, we are working hard to achieve sustainable business operations at Vetico. A sustainability coordinator supports all of our subsidiary companies in their ambitions and performance.
Externally, our subsidiaries – such as Vetipak – are primarily working towards sustainability for customers. Together with our packaging technologists from Vetico’s Innovation Center, they help with matters such as redesigning packaging in accordance with the 5R principle: Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Repurpose. Vetipak even has its own sustainability process.
Creating the future together
We are more than happy to share our knowledge, experience and insights with our clients and suppliers. After all, we can only continue to build and create the necessary impact by joining forces. We call this “creating the future together”.

Our first sustainability report
In 2025, we presented our first sustainability report, containing insights into our strategy, choices and performance. Rather than being a final destination, it is a transparent snapshot of our position at the time. We make every effort to work in an honest, safe and responsible way, both within our own organization and throughout the chain.
